— Meilan Crowmarrow
Behind the monsters, moonlit curfews, and conspiracies of Sovereign Arcana is one slightly feral human who thinks about worldbuilding way too much and sleeps significantly less than recommended.
The author of Sovereign Arcana: The Blood Moon is a lifelong fantasy enthusiast who grew up loving stories about monsters, then started wondering what would happen if the monsters were better organized than the humans.
When his isn't writing about werewolf clans, secretive churches, and vampires with HR departments, he spends his time working in tech, gaming, and enveloping himself in lore threads, building worlds, and plotting future books in the series.
The author has a particular love for morally complicated characters who have every reason to become villains, worlds where institutions lie to “protect” people and slow burn horror threaded through character-driven fantasy.
Sovereign Arcana is his acknowledgement to everyone who was told they were “too sensitive,” “too dramatic,” or “remembering it wrong.”
From the Author:
Why this story?
At its core, Sovereign Arcana began with one question:
What if the ‘crazy’ girl was the only person telling the truth?
Illeana’s story is about surviving something no one wants to admit happened, and then having to live in a world built on that denial. The monsters, vampires, and wolves are real and terrifying, but so is being told your memories are a disease.
This series lets the author explore:
how power uses "truth" as a weapon
the gap between official narratives and lived experiences
what happens when the people the world dismisses refuse to shut up
Plus: there's lots of action, plot twists, and plenty of dark humor along the way.
